The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed about the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider level made for intervention encounters a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service more info point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
